Cool, I'm in the Portland area as well. I'll give T-Scandia a call and see what they can do for me. My spg is in such great shape that I think I'll spend the cash and get the trans rebuilt.
I know what you mean about sports sports car like drive combined with the hatch for camping, etc.
I read about GM's success with the 4 speed. Seems like a 4 speed would be great for the track, but not sure about cruising through the Gorge on 84. I read somewhere that not only does ScanWest build a great trans, they also fit it to use a cooler as well. That seems like a nice add-on to me. Is your larger pinion gear even larger than the Saab upgraded gear in the '90 and beyond?
