Sounds like it's an involved DYI job, but can definitely be done if patient. Are shops like T-Scandia, ScanWest or Erikisson doing anything special when they rebuild? Are they doing exactly what a DYI at home in garage would be doing when rebuilding? If so, I might be keen on doing it myself.
