I'm working on said 85 right now (and waiting for a seriously skinned knuckle to clot). I should assume that s and turbo wiring harnesses are completely different? On my S I see a few connectors zip-tied off to the fuel injection rail - are these the turbo pieces from '88 model year?

I wonder if they still have wiring harnesses for the 85 turbo in a warehouse in sweden?

the turbo itself seems ok, On the air intake side of the turbine I can pull the blade in and out just a little bit - I can't feel any back and forth (radial) play in the turbine axis.

The clutch cover is an absolute mo-fo to get off though. There must be some trick I missed(took everything but coolant hoses off).

Also, whats the metal/rubber hose that runs the length of the engine under the intake manifold? It meets the compressed air tube from the turbo - looks like a soft rubber hose but then when you look closely there's a metal shaft that pokes into the bushing on the tube running from turbo output.
