Actually, I bought the whole assembly that was swapped out of a running junker, so all i had to do was bolt up the metal assembly to the plastic housing and drop it in.. and when I dropped the assembly in key was in OFF position.. should the key have been to the ON position, since that's how the car was left when i pulled the old assembly out? It still wouldn't affect the broken gearset would it? It looks like I either got a bad replacement, or I turned the key to hard and snapped this gearset, like an idiot.. GOD this is frustrating..
