WRongO. The crankcase blowby gases mixing with the intake air don't lower combustion temps...if anything they increase it. The O2 sensor/ecu lamda combination will reduce fuel as necessary to gain proper fuel air mixture upset by any hydrocarbons from the crankcase blowby gases. Perhaps you're thinking about exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) which is on some cars but I don't think this one. At least not from the PCV valve!
Vacuum to the crankcase is at most 20" mercury at high sucking vacuum going downhill with throttle closed, most of the time probably 10" or so. Figure about 7-10psi suction (atmospheric is 15psi). At full throttle/boost the saab gets maybe 10-12psi so a check valve is a good thing...more than twice as much pressure into the crankcase. And a lot of volume too! Check valve is a good thing.
