yes you can easily remove those lines without any worries about cold starts in the winter. not only that but you can remove most of the vacumn lines as well it decrease restriction (just remember to plug them) the biggest increase in cheap power and frustration I find is to eliminate the a/c compressor. it's much easier to do the belts, the amount of space you gain is amazing, and if the condensor is removed you only need 1 fan! good luck with the tranny swap (and curse the torq convertor bolts for me!)
