...the COOLANT lines going to the throttle body are there to, also, (brace yourself) COOL the throttle body. They call it COOLant for a reason. If it was there to heat things up it would be called HOTsauce. Would you eat anything green like that? No. So, it cools stuff.
But, seriously now, take your saab for a nice long drive at 6000rpm up hill in the summer, pull over, open the hood, and stick your tongue on the throttle body. If you have to pour hot water on you tonque to un-freeze it from the throttle body than I guess I'm wrong about everything.
