the first thing your going to need to ponder on is the springs, personally i rip them out of the car using spring compressors, when this is done the job is basically done.
instead of writing tons & tons of words let me find a pic. and narrate,
when looking at the pic, you can see only two bolts were removed on the lower ball joint, then the hole assembly was pulled up and back toward the rear of the car,
might need to drink some full throttle or a pot of coffee before you man handle this, dont get me wrong you need to go mid evil to get this to work. if you notice in the rear of the pic. the tie rod arm bolt is loose, you dont need to do this.
even though the bolt was loose i was unable to loosen the rod arm with out destroying the joint so i left the arm still fully attached to the assembly.
make sure to take the 32mm axle nut off before the pulling begins & using a screwdriver, or what ever you want, snap off the metal clamp holding the boot to the inner driver.
then start the pulling.
you will be able to retract the axle once the assembly is pulled back as far as it will go.
installation is the reverse of extraction.
so in reality you only had to remove 2 bolts, 1 axle nut and the road wheel.
its not really a big job
make sure to have hand cleaner on hand.... but then again you might want to just ware your new look to the store, go shopping for various things, try on some close you know live it up for awhile.
just a note:
there are ways to keep the spring compressed before the wheel is ever lifted off the ground making it so the spring never needs to come out, however i found it gets in the way when pulling up and out with the assembly, then not only am i lifting the hole assembly but now im lifting against the spring. its up to you how its done
keep the spring in and retract the hole steering knuckle or just wing it.
(after the assembly is pulled up and out replacement of the sway bar bushings are simple as pie at this point. if you notice the pic. you can see my sway bar bushing, yup the one that has the sway bar protruding through the back end of the bushing, its now replaced but its nothing more then pulling the bushing off the bar and sliding a new one on)
