there is no need to remove the compressor from the extracted spring.
the extractors will keep the spring compressed for life if you want them to. more then enough time to remove the spring, set it aside (with the compressors still attached),& do your work and when ready reinstall the spring then take the compressors off.
little tip, when putting the spring back in have the lower ball-joint metal base already slid in the end of the control arm, (not bolted in)
but loosely flopping while you maneuver the spring in place, play with the assembly moving it in and out putting the spring back in, it will be self explanatory.
after the springs in bolt the lower ball joint up, that last thing thats done, is the boot gets clamped to the inner driver.
have everything together before clamping.
