what year is your 900? Have you pulled up on the pedal when at rest? I've had to weld up the hole in the pedal where the clevis pin goes through.I had the same symtoms as far as low engagement of the clutch is concerned. Years of use wears a slot in the pedal,I've done then two ways Boring a large enough hole centered on the original and welding in a piece of tubing with the original hole diameter and just welding up the back side of the hole just to the original size.
