OK,hopefully most of u remember my "auto tranny nitemare" thread. Since then I've been going over all kinds of tech. data, flow charts, service manuals,web-sites,etc,etc,... And I think I may have it figured out!!!! From what I can tell it seems it may be a busted valve spring,as my symptoms came on suddenly one day and got progressivley worse. It started out as a slight buck on up & downshifts. Now what its doing is,if I have the pedal more than halfway(even slightly past) it shudders and feels like its slipping.3 weeks ago the car ran FINE,I could floor it all I wanted to and no noise, slippage,or bucking. Then about 2 weeks ago,it started up,I brought it up to BECK chevy/saab,they "testdrove" it,said I needed a "NEW" tranny.,and ever since the guy got out of my car its been getting worse and worse, and now its to the point where I wont drive the car at all because of the shudder!!
I've checked the trans. fluid,it looks clean,no metal shavings,a lil dark but clean enough. Another thing I noticed is my trans. fluid, when I check it,the trans. fluid line(the fluid itself) on the dipstick comes up about an inch or two over the "max/full" line on the dipstickup(to the metal part of the dipstick)!! I know I need to drain some,if not all of it out,and replace it. But would having too much trans. fluid cause any of these symptoms?? Or does it sound more like a valve spring??
THANX FOR THE HELP GUYS!!!!
