BPC solenoid or BPV?

It sounds like you are talking about the bypass valve (BPV or dump valve) rather than the BPC solenoid. If so, I bought the specified part (from eurocarparts.com) for my Aero and it works well. The old one was fine anyway, I think, but I was chasing an imaginary problem at the time. The Viggen BPV is compatible, I believe. I'm told that it is the valve now specified for the Aero, but I'm not sure about that.
As you know, I have a few modifications and am probably cranking out 240hp+ at the moment. We'll see how the valve stands up to the Maptun ECU I've ordered. I haven't used an aftermarket valve, but I'll be watching for problems with the standard valve and increased boost.
A BPV is not expensive, so it might be worth fitting a new one anyway to see if it makes a difference (don't know what Saab charge, but mine was around £17+VAT and I was ordering other stuff from eurocarparts.com anyway). A brand new valve should definitely be sufficient unless you have modified something. How long it lasts is a different question.
If you really do mean the BPC solenoid, then there are differences between them and you'll need a suitable one. The BPC from Bill Davies' CSE auto gave strange results on my manual Aero - due to wastegate differences, I guessed.
