Each valve is stamped with a two-letter code, and this seems to indicate some modification state. Valves with the same part number but different letters stamped on them will be different. For example, the solenoid from my '96 manual Aero had a larger internal diameter on the "W" outlet than the one I tried from a '93 CSE auto, which behaved very differently. The "W" outlet on mine looked for all the world as though it had been enlarged by passing a drill through it.
Some valves have brass restrictors in some of the pipes and some don't (or have them in different pipes).
I surmised that one of the reasons is that the wastegate and actuator on the manual Aero are quite different from those on other 9000s.
