in the head gasket kit, (head,intake,exhaust). Kyle replaced the crank sprocket ('cause they are defective in '91). The only thing that I will say about this Chad is THIS is a big job.
As for your other question on detecting the demage from removing the cover the answer you wouldn;t be able to see anything usefull. Even when Kyle's valve broke in half we thought we were just replacing the head gasket until the head was removed and on the floor!
