harder brake pedal response than family cars, so your argument does not hold water. Also a harder and more linear pedal response makes modulating the brakes easier than with brakes that immediately go to 90% braking, just by touching them. I hate brakes like that.
Bottom line: Nothing's wrong with the brakes, you just don't like how hard the pedal is to push.
