I agree with David's point about safety. The 9000 is an extremely safe car, and the hatchback never ceases to impress me with it's utilitarian value.
However, it all depends on whether you are willing to pay for the inevitable, and expensive, repairs for a 9000 with 140k on it. This could be anything from a DI cassette, to a clutch, to motor mounts, etc. The fact it's an auto tranny alone should make you think twice. The auto boxes have a poor reputation for longevity.
If your daughter isn't well attuned to car maintenace, there may be better choices for her. At the very least have a trusted mechanic do a once over on the car.
