Joe ,
The performance that you are getting from your car is what I was expecting from mine.....all except leaving the Aero in the dust. Mine for some reason or another was a rocket, ran at what I would say is beyond the high end of max spec. The boost would stay at the end of the red in every gear. It ran like that for 50k until a giant truck decided to test the cars structural integity. This is my 6th Saab, but, first to modify.
In answer to your questions, see below.
1. Cat back actually did produce a noticable increase in performance. If I can get some of the performance that I expect out of my current mods, then I will opt for the down pipe and cat sections. You can check the Abbott site for the up-grades I purchased. How do you like your JT3 unit?
2. Intake pipe. Yes...See Abbott. It is a beautiful unit. I only expect to help a little on the high end with this mod.
3. I don't know. I have done repeated adaption runs with no noticable improvement in performance.
4.HELL YES!!
5.This is something I need to do before I go any further. Thanks.
Regarding your comments on not getting full boost. That is what I am experiencing. I even had the mechanic adjust the boost up a couple of turns....resulting in nothing. If anything I had a little less boost to his amazement. So, It looks as though I need to do a full systems check. Thanks for that bit of info on the check valve.
I will get back to you.
Thanks, Dave
