No crumple zones wasn't meant to be taken literally, sarcasm doesn't translate well on the internet. 15 years is a LONG time, there have been many advancements in technology since 1993 when my 9000 was new. Not to mention higher standards for crash testing. I think the 9000 is a reasonably safe car, I know I feel comfortable with my family riding in mine. However, I think that many average 2008 cars would out-perform the 9000 in crash testing.
