The standard exhaust studs are threaded on both ends, no external Torx head; also the two outer studs on each end of the manifold are about 1.5 inches loner than the inner ones. It's possible that you have ARP stainless steel replacement studs.
It's tricky work to retap a hole with the head in place. My car has been running for about 18 months missing two of the long studs (snapped off in the head), my mechanic says that it will be a race to see which fails first, the exhaust gasket vs. the head gasket, but to leave it alone until then - much easier to retap holes with the head off. If you are going to attempt to retap in place, look up Timesert, which seems to be a better version of a helicoil.
