I figured that those particular studs were replacements.
My problem is I JUST replaced the HG and I really dont wanna pull the head (again) to attempt a re-tap. I've never re-tapped anything before and re-tapping the head makes me nervous. After looking on this BB its seems there are quite a few folks who have broken OEM studs but have been running otherwise. Presumably without an exhaust leak? I have a tight seal and the gasket is new...what are the chances of running it this way with out problems?
Or perhaps adding threadlocker on the stud and letting sit over night would allow the stud to set enough to apply the nut? I know I'm probably reaching with that one but I'm looking for alternatives. Or should I not worry?
Anyone out there running with a missing/broken stud and no ex leak?
Thx
Andy
