Finch, or others, could you give a bit more info.. Posted by iveand [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: Maybe IAC/Did Clean IAC and TB & Techron, George M., Thu, 16 Dec 2004 19:02:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
You mention looking for arcing. Are you wondering if "spark" is being lost somewhere, so I should look around the ignition area (distributor, wires, plugs)? Would this affect cold starting different than when warm? Also, the lower fuel pressure when cold: how should I diagnose, and solve?
It seems as if many of the cold hard start posts are from fellow N/A drivers. I there something with the motronic verses trionic system that is giving us trouble? The cold to me indicates possible condensation somewhere? Also specific to the 2.3L is the distributor/ plug wires. Is this reason why you indicate concern here?
Just trying to sort out what seems to be different in the 2.3's, because it is something beyond IAC, TB, plugs, and Techron. They were definitely the easy places to start, but I am seeing a fair number of posts (some my own) of 2.3 drivers who have taken these maintenance steps and are still experiencing the same issues.
thanks a lot for the feedback. again, I am getting in a new FPR this weekend, and will post back if this has any significant results.
