The plugs thjat are recommended in the manual would be fine. It is not the trionic, you can use other plugs as well.
Still important to read the old ones, they may be fine. Check gaps!
Any oil inside the distributor cap?
After doing all of the maintenance type stuff, you can look at other changes. A couple of folks found that their throttle plates were too closed, which might push the IAC out of range for starting air control. They adjusted the throttle stop. I do not think that there is a simple adjustment screw. I would look for a way to put in a thin shim or something to increase the TP opening that was a reversable change. Then try that. If it works, then work at making a permanent change. I don't know how you would find the old posts. As I recall, the changes were not difficult, but is seems you would be on your own, which is just fine for many folks.
