I changed out the FPR over the weekend in -2F weather. It was a fairly easy job, but my hands got cold! Unfortunately, after 3 successful runnings, I had the worst starting problems on record later that night. The car had been sitting for approximately 5 - 6 hrs, and at 1:00 Am, it didn't want to keep running.
Interesting note: I feel like I was smelling gas as it was having trouble starting. Could it be that fuel is OK, and it is air and or spark issues? I seem to have been all over them. One possibility: my IAC has failed??
I talked to a saab indy over the weekend... he also suspected fuel issues and mentioned this check valve near the pump. Something I would like to look into, but a more significant commitment.
