Based on the theory that the cold start and stall in the morning is caused by a leak down from the fuel pump and not the cold weather or a variety of parts that need replacement and/or cleaning, I started my 98 900, 2.3 at 11:30 PM. It had previously been started at 6:00 PM. I only let it run for about 3 minutes or just enough to re-pressurize the fuel pressure in case of leak down. I started again at 6:30 AM. It fired immediately and ran fine. I will continue this routine to see if it continues to start OK. If it does, then I will go back to the overnight without starting and see if the old start and stall comes right back. By the way it was -16* at 6:30 this morning.
Thanks, Tom
