Hello. I am new this discussion of retorqueing (or in actuality properly torqueing). I have had my used saab 9-3SE Conv. for 1.2 years and 10k miles (now has 81K). Given the activity about this problem i think that I need to make sure that the bolts are tight. There lies the problem. Given that I don't know whether it was done in the past or not, is it a good idea to try it. I know there has been a couple cases bolts breaking.
A question to those in the know: Is there a way to determine if the bolts need torqueing (e.g. torque needed to break bolts loose)? How loose could the bolts be?
The car has no leaks of oil or coolant.
thanks
keith
