Hi!
I measured the voltage at pin 86, 30 and 85.
With no crank, I have 12V on pin 30 and 85 (ground OK).
When I crank the voltage drop to 10.3V !!! So that's why it's not starting.
But, the battery is brand new (3 weeks old). The car wasn't starting and I bought a new battery.
The car ran fine for two weeks. Then no start, went to the garage to pickup the car, went to work and the car almost didin't start at the end of the day. The car was idling very slow almost ready to die. The batery light was on with the caution sign.
I suspected the alternator. Next morning, the car was really hard to start. The engine wanted to start and I pressed on the gas pedal and it started.
I mesured the voltage across the batery with engine on and it was 14 volts and it was stable at all revolution. So I dismissed the alternator as bad.
Could it be the alternator or the coil?
Thanks,
Michel
