I fully intended to change it out this week (in case anyone was wondering) but didn't know if ordering from eeuroparts 2 or 3 days shipping would be dangerous to drive it during those 2 or 3 days, but now I think I have my answer...I'll do it locally.
My follow up question from yesterday never really got answered though, the question was should I change TWO pulleys or ONE? I called a local shop and he said saab had an update saying to "change the center one for a 9-3 style and replace with matching serp belt" at least that's what it SOUNDED like he said.
His quote was $35 for the upper pulley, $35 for the center one (but interestingly he said, they normally simply remove that one and be done with it?!?!) or $190 flat rate to do the whole job themselves (incl. cost for one pulley and new belt, removal of 2nd pulley).
I'm getting other quotes, and if no one responds here, that's fine, i'm still either doing it or having it done today, but if someone does see this and can shed any light on it for me, i'd appreciate that too.
thanks for all your responses. i'm glad i asked.
Tom.
