The Speedparts filter setup makes all sorts of crazy (and loud) wooshing and sucking noises. A 3" tube on the stock airbox is dead silent by comparison. I've had both on my car, and I prefer the 3" tube by a long shot. It's quieter, the car doesn't seem any less powerful, and the tube doesn't reduce low-end torque near as much as the conical air filter did.
