Right now I only have 1 computer, but I've got a wife and 2 kids ages (6 and 8), and I'm building a new house. I currently have Cox Cable as my ISP, and anticipate at least one more computer in the new house by this time next year. I'd like to be able to network as many as 4 computers in any one of potentially 6 locations in the new house (Garage included, Rhich)!
I don't currently own a router, I'm just looking for recommendations as to what type of wire/cable I should be running throughout the new house before the sheetrocking begins. Also, where should I plan on locating the modem and router (Inside house in a closet or something, or in my insulated, but not A/C'd garage) Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
