If light weight is a primary concern, there's not a whole lot out there. The Lotus is probably the lightest car sold in the US right now. It's tiny inside - definitely shoulder to shoulder and pedals that demand small feet to avoid hitting more than one at a time (ask me how I know). The new Solstice / Sky roasters aren't nearly as light, but aside from the Miata there's not too much more to choose from. Maybe an S2000, but even that's getting more chunky. Really, not much at all that compares to the old MG's and XK's...
