As much as I want to support GM (did I just say that!?!), I could never in good conscience put my mother in a Saturn Vue. She travels up and down I-95 between Delaware and Florida, and she moves with traffic, and traffic moves at 90 mph at times (I just did the trip in my Sportcombi). She's not fearful of speedy driving and distances (she takes summertime trips into NYC often, so she deals well with the urban jungle too). The thought of her in a Vue, Escape or similar would really frighten me. Plus the Vue gets pretty shabby reviews altogether. She's on her 3rd Volvo wagon, and that feels good to her. I'm thinking that perhaps she'll get a discounted v70 before the model change in a year or two, but she's very intersted in a hybrid too (hence the Highlander). Again, must be a wagon or crossover for space. She just wants better fuel economy. Volvos don't do well with fuel economy in my estimation...the 5 cyl. are strong and thirsty. Who knows...maybe I can convince her to consider the 9-5 SportCombi at this point. I never have liked the 2.3 with an automatic...vibration. That may be an invalid opinion at this point.
