I wouldn't judge until you drive it. Posted by Caarma [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: VUE was much improved for 2005, B. Millar, Tue, 9 Jan 2007 18:02:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm not advocating that she buys a VUE if she's into luxury brands but I'm guessing you haven't even driven or possible even sat in the new VUE. The main reasons people buy luxury brands are for cache, exclusivity, and extra features. I'm not sure what she prioritizes.
The VUE currently has the Honda 3.5 L V6 and I wouldn't call it a Lego. Volvos do feel more solid, but they weigh a lot more and cost a lot more. I was not impressed with the NVH on the 5 cylinder turbo S60 I drove, especially at idle and low speeds.
The next VUE is based on a global platform to be shared with Opel and it will have the 3.6 L V6 which is the basis for the 2.8 L V6 in the 9-3. When I see the new Saturn AURA, (which I have yet to drive), the things I mention above (and possibly safety) are the only reasons to buy a 9-3 SS instead. I am planning on test driving an AURA this week, plus I'll get a $25 gift card.
