I've not experienced such a marked difference

in intake temps due to cranking the boost like I do. With the increases you mention, I would expect piston meltdown/lots of oil burning/and less than expected results. Running 20+ psi out of my Mitsu TE05, I am well aware that it is beyond it's efficiency range (and that I need water injection on there). It still runs great and hauls butt. It does not burn oil (though it blows by *some* under super boost in the turbo), and the bottom end looked great (w/ tranny off)/feels great. Strange. I do not have a seperate engine temp gauge. Perhaps I will add it when I had my second (third?) cluster (right now, in the upper DIN slot, I have Oil Pressure, Volts, & Boost) I plan to add Fuel Pressure & A/F Ratio gauges soon.
Anyway, I do want to install water injection on there. Seems kind of pointless right now, as cold as it is outside here.
As important as an efficient turbo is, so must the intercooler follow suit. Efficiency there is key, or else you have an unnecessary restriction in line with severe pressure drops along the way. FMICs seem to be liked on this BB; the fan I run seems to have the same effect, though I do not have a fair basis of comparison (never tried an FMIC). I plan to, though (just to check!)
