I did not think you meant that you thought a person could modulate anything faster than an ABS controller. I thought you meant what you wrote:
"A good driver will stop shorter in all conditions w/o ABS vs with ABS."
which isn't true. Also not true:
"A good driver will be able to use the cars brakes better w/o the aid of computers & it will result in a shorter distance, there have been many tests on this."
I wonder what tests with what equipment?
Also in-accurate:
"why do no race cars have ABS be it F1, WRC, cart, etc?"
We do however agree that in off-road rally-type situations a non-ABS equipped vehicle will have an advantage over an ABS equipped vehicle, for the reason I stated as well as for the reason you stated.
Some people may prefer a non-ABS system for a sports car that has a fairly favorable contact patch to weight ratio and on a good day it probably won't matter too much; but there are very likely other reasons for that which aren't performance related. For example, it sure would be less maintenance intensive and cheaper/easier to tune correctly. Fine. But if cars can't run faster with a properly set-up ABS for racing why was it outlawed by F1 almost 10 years ago? Why would the factories have had it on their cars in the first place? To ultimately go slower? Limiting the overall top speed and capabilities of the cars is a constant concern in F1.
The fact is that a modern and properly tuned task specific ABS system (not necessarily available in any road-going BMW or at any BMW training school) will ultimately and repeatedly do things that a human cannot do on a racetrack or on the street. Maybe not 100% of the time in 100% of all situations, but yes, for the bulk of them we poor humans are simply outclassed. Which is the opposite of what you have stated. I'm not talking about anyone's particular preferences, ex-Speedvision racecar drivers included, I'm talking about facts.
