About Adrians viggen and his results
"The 97 mph was still in 3rd; you can go well past
6,000 RPM without hitting the "rev limiter". The ECU just cuts
power; I probably would have gotten a better trap
speed if I had shifted up to 4th at about 85 mph
because my peak hp is at 4,900 RPM at the wheels! No
point in going past 5800 RPM.
Track is at over 3000 ft"
Mayby later we will get a results driven i fourth also, who knows. Dont know anything about boost, I believe he does not have a boost gauge to look at only the saabs std "turbo gauge".
At altitude so called "over boost" dosnt translate to "over airmass". Also keep in mind that at altitude turbo duty cycly is higher = VE is lower and you will end up with less power with the same airmass. Also timing may be altered to cope with the higher TB temp.
Instead of looking at your boost figure on the strip, use airmass its far more informative than plain boost.
