Great point! I think it has a lot to due with a certain unnamed company (that rhymes with B.M.)whose methods of leaving people in the dark so as to avoid litigation are standard practice. The unfortunate part is that the "small details" to a Detroit leviathan are major Saaber details that resourceful people like you and many others on this board could and would have addressed, and put to great use. Just think, if Andy E. knew the procedure to check that POS MAF sensor, I would be willing to bet that his engine would still be running strong on all 4 cylinders. Heck, I'll take that a step further and say that if Andy even knew that there were ANY issues with MAF's, the outcome would probably have been different. We should know about this stuff! Now the oil pumps? All I am saying is that we shouldn't be the people "straining our brains" trying to figure this stuff out and then having to come up with our own fixes and solutions! :o(
