How's the Goat? Do you have the stock exhaust still? I heard one in town with a nice set of pipes and man, what a sound!
Back to the topic here, My undisclosed source at SCUSA was very aware of MANY Viggens losing cylinder #1 this way. I'm not sure as to why, maybe just the sequence, but it's well documented. We're not supposed to know that. The other major problem that has never been mentioned here is broken/damaged valves from missed shifts! I guess the synchros are not to great in 99-00' Viggens. Evidentally, the performance minded people that bought them would rev them to red line, shift and miss fourth, and hit second, causing a inertia forced over-rev situation. BANG!Lot's of details that would have helped out a lot of us here, and saved us a lot of money.:o( Incidenatlly, which piston was it that you cracked? *Please* don't tell me it was #1.
