Randall,

I just purchased a used 95 900SE V6 and love it. I am comfortable with the
V6 from my experience with other European cars, however, most other V6
require timing belt changes at 60-75k range. Yes, Saab will pick up the
35k/65k/95k timing belt change free. My local dealer says they need to do
the schedule maintance as well as the timing belt change in order for it to
be covered, but I haven't asked other area dealers if that is true or just
BS from the local dealer. My car only had 29k which was so low GE Capitol
was offering a lease on it. Be sure to call Saab customers service with the
VIN and see if there are any recalls. 95 models had a TSB concerning the
convertible top which should be fixed, but believe it was not an issue with
96 models.
Scott
