I wonder where it starts?
If the guide shoe breaks first allowing the chain to rap so hard on the tensioner piston that it pops the bottom and spring out or if the bottom and spring pops out allowing the chain to rap on the guide shoe, breaking it.
I also see one of the two limit stops on the balance sprocket being broken in these cases and wonder what that has to do with it.
Proparts has come out with a balance chain kit and I ordered it for a car but it looked so cheesy that I didn't dare to install it.
I was hoping for that Proparts had found a way to source the genuine parts and put together a kit of it but it was no markings on the pieces suggesting it was genuine and the lower balance sprocket was a solid sprocket without that spring loaded limit stops and much skinnier and a spacer ring supplied to fill the gap on the crankshaft.
I sent it back to my suppliers, thank you but no thanks.
Since it is sooo much more work replacing the chain, guides and sprockets, I don't dare to use cheap after market parts that maybe some Chinese 3D printer has spit out out of questionable plastic mixture.
