Salesman upset at satisfaction survey

I just got the weirdest phone call in a long time. The salesman who delivered our 2001 9-5 wagon just called to me, and really pissed at what we gave the dealership on the satisfaction survey. We gave an average of "very good"; actually slightly above "very good," with a slight more "excellent" than "good." Is this considered really bad? How bad is the grade-inflation nowadays anyway? I thought a "good" meant "good," "very good" very good; you'd have to do something remarkable to earn an "excellent," the top rating. We are trying to be supportive of this dealership. We actually paid about $300-500 extra than we would have elsewhere, just to support this lonely dealership, which is the closest to our home instead of the dozens of dealerships near our apartment in the city. We were quite satisfied with the purchase experience, well, until this weird phone call. While we appreciate the salesman's apparent passion and dedication to his job, we don't exactly enjoy this breathing-down-the-neck effrontery, especially that "hope you don't need any favors down the road" crap.
So, how bad is "very good" or "good" in the SAAB organization anyway?
