Not as sure about that as you. There are two gearboxes,stick and auto.The clutch is often the weak link in manual gearbox cars. I would want someone with the engineering documentation and expertise to calculate the loads and margin for safety before doing any serious work to up the power. Unfortunately, in the current 9-5, the upper limit as far as usable performance is the FWD layout, so even if the gearbox and clutch could safely handle 400 HP, you could not really harness it to the ground. Every now and then,I take a look at the Performance BB here, and you always see stories about those who found a way to up the pressure settings on the wastegate, or have otherwise hot rodded the engine, and they are then asking if anyone else has blown the engine at 4,000 miles. Cars today just cannot be modified as easilly as in older days.
