I just completed first test drive of 9-5 Linear SportWagon, AT, very nice. The car just had 17 miles on it, I inquired of salesman what octane they filled it up with, but indicated no desire to floor it, with engine that hadn't been broken in. He told me that no break-in period is required. I tried to hide my complete disbelief in that statement, and still took it fairly easy on test drive.
I searched the board for "engine break-in", no posts on it. Does the 2.3t really not require a break-in period? It would be the first engine that I've ever heard of so capable.
