I've got a '94 vert that I'm pulling the motor on. Got the taper pin out with ease, but can't get the damn shaft to come out of the dogbone housing. Frozen in there pretty good. Anyone got any pointers? I got a screwdriver through the alignment hole in the shaft and got some channel-lock pliers on the dogbone and tried to twist, but it's not budging. Can I just loosen the pinch bolt on the other end and see if I can remove the whole dogbone unit with the motor?
Alan, you should have the older style coupling. I think that you may be able to replace it with the later style though.
