Thanks for the reminder. I have just checked continuity of the TPS circuitry, and both wires to the ECU (pins 2&3) have perfect continuity to the ECU. Also the ground pin from the TPS grounds out perfectly to the engine through to the unibody of the car. So, at this point I am pretty sure I can rule out any issues with the TPS circuitry or the TPS, as I have actually tried out 4 known good TPS's.
In addition, I also tried Bernie's suggestion of removing the A/C relay - and that made no change whatsoever. I've got two ECUs on the way thanks to Bobwithsaab!
