Hey all you 9K wizards, please provide insight if you've BTDT on this problem.

As stated, drivers door refuses to open. Key won't actuate anything (the lock won't release). You can NOT pull up on the manual lock pin inside the car....it won't move.

When you do push/pull the drivers manual lock button/flat pin, the other 3 doors lock/unlock; I believe this confirms the auto locking system is AOK. This manual lock really doesn't move more than 1~2mm, but still fires the locking system.

Pulling inside door release does nothing; key from outside & pulling the door handle DOES fire the central locking system, but won't change the operation of the drivers door. I should say, the other doors LOCK when you pull the drivers door handle.

Key does appear to enter the drivers door lock normally, but won't actuate anything (and almost doesn't feel like it is attached to anything?). Key WILL NOT enter the pass. door lock; the stainless cover is blocking that side. I do recall in the past that side door lock was functional. Could the car have been fooled into a "lockdown condition" perhaps from an attempted theft?

I'm hoping to not have to tear the drivers seat out and then attempt to remove the inside door panel from in the car. DOES NOT look like fun at all, if even possible without destroying the drivers door panel.

Obe-wan-Kanobe, you are my only hope. Advise, 9K wizards, and thank you in advance.
