Searching for 411 on the Central locking now.... Posted by DET17 [Email] (#1254) [Profile/Gallery] (more from DET17) on Fri, 23 May 2014 03:48:26 In Reply to: Just fix electric openers., RayF, Thu, 22 May 2014 13:56:05 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Thanks for the advice. I find it rather hard to believe that SAAB would have designed a mechanical key to fire the electronic system to open the doors (Primary) and that the crank & dogleg ball ended link is a mechanical backup (for battery failure). But this is SAAB afterall......
I've pulled my Central unit from the drivers footwell for analysis/solder joint work.
When I ground between the 3 pains on the door lock cylinder, I'm getting a CHIRP on occasion from my alarm system. Funny, I didn't even know this car had one! The ex-wife drove if for some years and she never mentioned it either.
If anyone has a link to the actual schematics for these cars, I'd love to have it. I've got the HAYNES manual, but their documentation isn't the best for the locking circuit. Their colors don't match my wiring plugs either....
