Thanks Ken.
Looking back, I realized that the issue is not spontaneous. Over the past two weeks, my gas mileage has been getting progressively worse; the change has been very slow though. I believe that the shifting point has been creeping up the rpm scale without my noticing it, until it won't go into the 3rd gear.
I called up your two posting's, plus taking a closer look at the throttle mechanism. I am more confused now.
1. There are two cables connected to the throttle mechanism. One is vertical, it pulls up as the throttle is depressed. The other is horizontal, it sort of retracks when the throttle is depressed. Which is which?
2. Is the charge delivery tube the brass tube that connects to the bottom of the throttle body? I do have a problem with it. It got pulled out once! I stuck it back in and hold it from falling off by a ziptie. But did not do anything to make it airtight. What should I do?
I am now beginning to see the connection between this issue and the conversion from LPT to FPT, the higher boost must have caused my problems.
Much obliged.
