i've spent some time driving around with the fuse/relay panel hanging out. i now know exactly which relay is switching when the power blinks on the road. A/C Compressor / Cooling Fan iirc. haven't had any problems with the engine overheating, so i guess its performing its function but bouncing roughly each time.
i'm going to order a replacement relay. the problematic one is a Bosch. the others in there are Hella and Saab... are all relays created equal or should i get one brand over another.
gonna see what i can do about checking connections. start i guess at the ignition switch, work towards the starter motor, alternator... what else... ? i'll be learning as i go along. reminds me... the new spark plugs are making a difference. idles better, accelerates smoother, and decelerates while in lower gears with less jerkiness. picked up the car about 15k miles ago and have no maintenance records for the last 60k+ miles. think i'll get Swedish Imports to quote a major maintenance, but as in the past, its just gonna have to wait. okay, i'm wandering.
