There are, as you indicated, some things that are more difficult
on a 9000 than the 900. However, it goes both ways. There are
some things I could list that are more difficult on the 900 - like
having to turn the pistons back in their calipers when replacing
brake pads. I do all the work on my 9000 and I have owned
3 900's and 4 99's. I've also owned an '87 9kt and presently
have a '92. Remember, the '87 model was only two years into
production. The engine/drivetrain and suspension was considerably
improved/refined in the following 5 years. If I had to choose between
an '87 9000 and a later model 900, I still might lean to the 9000.
But, anything after a '91 and there's no comparison as to which
might be more fun to drive. The B234 did to Saab, what the 265/
283 did to the Corvette, back in the mid-fifties.
