I am absolutely positive it is the wastegate actuating and not the fuel cut off. I rebuilt the wastegate when i did the rest of the engine and put in a new diaphram. I have maybe a few more observations about this symptom. In response to your saying that an exhaust will not help make more boost the reason i say that i am is b/c the wastegate never came on under any circumstances when i didnt have the exhaust and the needle does go a little further into the yellow. You reinforce what i have heard about the fuel system needing to be upgraded after doing any mods to this car. What are some recommendations for that? I know you can bolt on differnet fuel distributors for larger engines such as a porshe 6 cyl. or volvo 5 cyl. Are these truyl bolt ons and do you just plug the extra holes for fuel lines. Thanks
